The Flower Box is the first Unproductive Joy Factory experiment: a box full of flower-inspired things to make, touch, arrange, paint, notice, and enjoy for absolutely no productive reason.

Inside are three complete flower crafts, a collection of tiny joyful things, and an original little book exploring flowers, their meanings, and the strange amount of history and feeling humans have tucked inside them.

What’s inside

🌼 Dried Flower Mason Jar Craft
A 13 oz mason jar with assorted dried flowers and the supplies you need to decorate it, including Mod Podge, a small brush, twine, and other craft materials. Arrange it carefully or stick flowers wherever they make you happy. There is no grading rubric.

🌸 Pressed Flower Frame Craft
A double-glass hanging frame for creating your own pressed-flower arrangement. Use the included flowers to make something beautiful, weird, sparse, overflowing, symmetrical, or absolutely none of those things.

🌷 3D Flower Painting Craft
A ready-to-paint dimensional flower piece with raised floral details, plus painting supplies. There is no requirement that flowers be the colors flowers are “supposed” to be.

📖 The Flower Book
An original Unproductive Joy Factory booklet about flowers, symbolism, history, memory, connection, and why humans keep giving meaning to beautiful little things. It isn’t an instruction manual. You can read it, ignore it, disagree with it, or decide the lavender is pretty and move on with your day.

🌻 Tiny flower things, because obviously
You’ll also find a wooden wildflower, a flower-shaped sensory fidget, a tiny flower and bud vase, and a few thoughtful little details tucked throughout the box.

Everything arrives nestled together with the printed Care & Safety Guide, packaging, and small reminders that none of this has to become anything more than time you enjoyed spending.

Why flowers?

I love flowers. They make ordinary moments feel a little more beautiful.

They show up when we’re celebrating and grieving, apologizing and falling in love. We’ve assigned them meanings, preserved them between pages, carried them down aisles, left them on graves, grown them in gardens, and picked them simply because they were pretty.

So this box is an invitation to spend a little time with flowers.

Make them. Arrange them. Paint them. Preserve them. Play with them.

None of it needs to be useful. Although, knowing flowers, it might mean something anyway.

I’m making just 12 Flower Boxes in this first batch.

This is intentionally small. Unproductive Joy Factory is starting the same way I hope you’ll use this box: experimentally, playfully, and without needing to know exactly where it’s going.

Your box will be assembled by hand after the presale and shipped in a 12 × 9 × 4-inch box packed with care.

Each Flower Box is assembled by hand using real craft materials, dried flowers, tiny floral pieces, and other delightfully imperfect things. That means no two boxes will be exactly alike.
